About

Pushin' Forty is an equine facility located in Valleyview, AB providing training services in all western disciplines with a special focus on developing talented prospects for roping.  With 35 years experience training and competing, Pushin' Forty's head trainer, Genie Lynch, has the knowledge and skill-set to develop solid and safe horses.    

We believe in a solid foundation of wet saddle blankets and hard work to create a reliable, willing saddle horse. We don’t take shortcuts with a horse and are always straight up honest with clients.

Genie rides the Community Pasture full-time so she only selects a few horses to enter her training program each year.

Roping Horse Training

The Pushin' Forty training model is based on an initial thirty day period with further development optional.

Horse Sales

To earn the "40" brand and go up on the sale page the horses must meet a certain criteria of reliability, responsiveness and skill.

Roping/Horsemanship Lessons

Horsemanship/problem solving - $30/hour *Must Bring Own Horse* Roping - ground work/dummy roping $30/hour; heelomatic $45/hour; live cattle $75/2 hours.

Indoor Arena

We are proud to provide our clients and trainers with a spacious, heated and groomed indoor arena.

Outdoor Arena

Our summer playground! We hold a series of roping and barrel racing events in our large outdoor arena

Heelomatic and Live Cows

We are able to train our roping horses using both a heel-o-matic and live cattle.

Endless Miles of Bush Riding

Our property is adjacent to miles and miles of leaseland.
